THERE'S a new problem with Apple's iPhone 6, and customers aren't happy.
Owners claim the phone's front-facing "selfie camera" is misaligned, with a grey crescent visible on one side.
The issue, which is being referred to as "Crescentgate", came to attention when users started posting about it on Reddit and Macrumors.

The Reddit poster said he and a friend both had the same problem with their new $869 devices, and wondered if anyone else had too.
As it turned out, the pair were far from alone.
"I did, they replaced it, and the replacement shifted within a week," said one commenter.
Some said they had managed to get replacements with the camera properly aligned, but many said they wouldn't be going back to the shop just yet.
"My nearest Apple store is two hours away," said one user, while another added, "It's working just fine, just a minor annoyance."

Everyone appeared to agree that it was just the casing, rather than the camera, that had shifted, so photos were not affected — so far.
But one commenter pointed out that owners should take the phone back to the store to send a message to Apple that it should make better quality products.
The original poster on Macrumors said it could be an issue if anyone tried to resell their phone claiming "mint condition".
The issue only appears to affect the smaller iPhone 6, not the iPhone 6 Plus.

It is not the first problem that has cropped up for users of Apple's much-hyped latest phone.
Many have complained that their phones have bent in their pockets, sparking a global "Bendgate" scandal.
Others found their hair kept getting caught in the casing, leading to (you guessed it), "Hairgate".
Further early complaints include easily scratched screens, rear-facing cameras that won't focus, and constant crashes or reboots.
Apple suffered more embarrassment two months ago when it had to pull an update to its iOS8 operating system.
Whether all this is enough to weaken the tech giant's power remains to be seen.
