IT'S not often we're lucky enough to see Australian politics combine with the wacky world of professional wrestling.

So make sure you enjoy this.

To set the scene, there's a WWE wrestler named Randy Orton who finishes his opponents with a move called the RKO (his middle name is Keith).

The idea of the RKO is to grab your unsuspecting opponent by the head and slam his face down into the ground.

While Orton has been performing the move for years, it's recently become popular to create short video clips of him landing RKOs on famous figures.

Enter Julia Gillard.

The former Prime Minister was a perfect candidate given the unfortunate nature of her fall during a trip to India in 2012.

The clip has been included in a compilation video which has already topped 600,000 views on YouTube.

Other celebrities who've got the RKO treatment include Manchester United striker Robin van Persie and the guy who fell on his backside trying to kick a golf ball.
