IT'S the elusive million dollar question.

In 1000 episodes of Nine's prime time game show, Millionaire Hot Seat, not one person has been able to correctly nail the answer.

Only six of over 6000 contestants have made it far enough to even have a crack.

As the Eddie McGuire fronted program celebrates its 1000th episode tonight, news.com.au has been given exclusive access to the six hardest questions ever asked on the show.

More than $24 million in prize money has been given away since the show started in April 2009, but the million dollar prize still remains untouched.
