POLICE searching for a two-year-old girl who was taken from a home in Ipswich Saturday night have released images of a man and woman they want to talk to.

Bella Rose Goulding was in a home with her father on Sancroft St at Willowbank when she was taken around 8pm, police said.

Three men and a woman were sighted in the area in a white Holden Commodore and a silver Mitsubishi sedan around the time she was taken.

Detectives believe Lisa Maree Carroll, 21, and Michael Kenneth Winning, 42, may be able to assist police in the investigation, and are urging the two to contact police.

The two are known to the child.

Bella Rose's father had earlier described the moment she was taken, claiming he was forced up against a wall when his girl was abducted.

Steven Goulding said two men knocked on the front door of the property about 7.15pm.

Mr Goulding said the men forced the door open and took his two-year-old daughter Bella Rose Goulding, whom he refers to as Baby.

"I just tried to reach for her, but the big guy pushed me back against wall," he said.

"I was told to just let go."

He said he just wanted his daughter to be safe.

"She's going to be safe," he said.

"Surely they'll feed her."

Neighbours on the quiet cul de sac said they heard nothing during the abduction, but one person did notice a car driving along the street about the time the abduction took place.

"I saw a car drive up the street about 7pm," Paul Crewe said.

"It was a pretty old car ... you could tell it wasn't in the best condition.

"But it was odd because it was just driving really slowly."

Local resident Melissa Bolt said she could usually hear if there was a disturbance in the neighbourhood, but last night she heard nothing.

"It must have happened very quickly," Mrs Bolt said.

"If there was a child screaming, I would have heard it."

Mrs Bolt said it is a friendly neighbourhood and all the children who live along the street regularly play together.

"I was really surprised when I heard about it because this is such a quiet street," she said.

"Nothing like this has ever happened here."

Bella Rose has blonde curly hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink Dora the Explorer t-shirt and grey leggings.

Anyone with information about the incident should call the Child Abduction Alert hotline on 131 564.

POLICE believe abductors who took a two-year-old girl from a home in Ipswich were known to the girl.

The girl was in a home with her father on Sancroft St at Willowbank when she was taken on Saturday night.

Acting Inspector Alison Jewell said officers believed the abductors were known to the girl and that police were still trying to reach the girl's mother.

Insp Jewell said they could not reveal details of the custody arrangement at this stage of the investigation.

"I don't believe she's a permanent resident of that house (in Willowbank), (but) that was where she was residing at that point in time."

She said witnesses inside the house saw a white Holden sedan and the grey Mitsubishi sedan at the time of the abduction.

Queensland police have been in contact with their colleagues in NSW.

Insp Jewell holds concerns for Bella Rose's wellbeing.

"She's missing at this point in time (and) being a two-year-old, we're concerned for her safety," Insp Jewell said.

Police said the girl was in a home on Sancroft St at Willowbank when she was taken on Saturday night.

The father claims he was forced up against a wall when his girl was abducted.

Police are seeking urgent help to find a two-year-old girl abducted from her home in Queensland's southeast.

Steven Goulding said two men knocked on the front door of the property about 7.15pm.

Mr Goulding said the men forced the door open and took his two-year-old daughter Bella Rose Goulding, whom he refers to as Baby.

"Surely they'll feed her."

Three men and a woman were seen in a white Holden Commodore and a silver Mitsubishi sedan near the home at the time the girl was taken.

Police are investigating whether the group of people have links to the girl's mother and if the abduction is the result of a custody dispute.

Neighbours on the quiet cul de sac said they heard nothing during the abduction, but one person did notice a car driving along the street about the time the abduction took place.

"I saw a car drive up the street about 7pm," Paul Crewe said.

Attempts to locate the missing girl and the people seen in the cars have so far been unsuccessful and police have now issued a child abduction alert.

The girl is described as being caucasian in appearance with blue eyes and blonde curly hair.
